Top Trimmers (Pty) Ltd ("Top Trimmers", "we") is a garden and landscaping company based in Parklands, Cape Town. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It follows the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
When you ask for a quote or book a job, we collect:
- Your name and phone number
- The service you need, and how often you'd like it
- Your address or suburb
- Your email address, if you give it
- Your message, and any photos of the job you send us by WhatsApp or email
- Details of the work we do for you and how you paid
When you send the form on our website, it also records the page you sent it from. If you reached us through an advert or a tracked link, it records which one.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, quote and book the job
- To do the work, and to come back if something isn't right
- To keep records of payments, as the law requires
We only use your information for these reasons.
Who we share it with
Our team sees what it needs to do your job. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, your messages pass through those services.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reasons above, or for as long as the law requires.
How we keep it safe
The law requires us to take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, and to stop it being lost, misused or seen by anyone who shouldn't see it. It also requires us to tell you and the Information Regulator if we believe someone who shouldn't have it has seen or taken it.
Marketing
Under POPIA, you can tell us to stop sending you marketing at any time.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it or delete it
- Object to us using it, including for marketing
- Complain to the Information Regulator if you're unhappy with how we've handled it: inforegulator.org.za
