The job
What is rubble removal?
Rubble removal means getting the heavy leftovers of building and garden work off your property: old paving, the mess left after building work, and the debris from a landscaping job or a big clean-up. Top Trimmers loads it onto our large trailer and takes it away, at R450 a load.
We do the loading. You don't have to carry anything to the gate or fill a skip yourself. Send us a photo for a free quote, and the team loads the trailer and drives it away.
Rubble is different from garden refuse, which is green waste such as branches, palm fronds and hedge cuttings. We take both at the same R450 a load. If yours is mostly green waste, see garden refuse removal.
On some jobs, taking the waste away is already part of the price, and your quote will say which.

Where the rubble comes from
The northern suburbs keep changing. In Table View, developers have replaced many older houses with complexes where each owner has a unit. In Bothasig, the houses date from the 1960s on and some of the original prefab homes are still standing. Building, paving and garden work on homes like these all leave rubble behind, and Top Trimmers is a short drive away in Parklands.
Don't let it end up on the verge
Dumping waste in a public place is against the City of Cape Town's waste by-law, and the City does fine people for it: in three months of 2023 it issued 580 fines for littering and dumping. If you see rubble being dumped, you can report it to the City on 0800 110 077, toll free.
