A garden service is a regular visit that keeps the whole garden in shape, not just the grass. When the Top Trimmers team comes round, the work is:
You choose how often we come: weekly, fortnightly or monthly, or once-off if the garden just needs sorting out before a move, a sale or a visit. Most people send a few photos on WhatsApp, tell us how often they'd like us, and we price it from there.
Ivy that has climbed up walls and fences, or a corner of the garden that has turned into bush, is clean-up work, not part of a normal mow and edge. Tylor quotes it from your photos or a look at the garden. If it has to be done before regular visits can start, it may come as a once-off first clean-up fee, and your quote will say so.
Some jobs are too big for a normal visit. A hedge that's gone up past the gutters or a tree leaning over the roof is tree trimming, and a garden full of old branches is garden refuse removal. Not sure where your garden fits? Send photos and we'll say honestly.

Gardens across the northern suburbs aren't all the same. In the coastal suburbs, like Parklands, Table View and Sunningdale, most gardens sit on sandy, alkaline soil over limestone, the ground of the old coastal dune bush, and the south-easter sweeps across towards Blouberg. Further inland, in suburbs like Goodwood, Parow and Durbanville, the ground is mostly shale clay, and around Durbanville those shale soils hold their winter moisture.
Between visits, the City's permanent water rules apply to every garden, even with no water restrictions: water only before 9am or after 6pm, and fit the hosepipe with a spray nozzle or self-closing trigger so the flow stops when you let go.

Top Trimmers is based in Parklands and does regular garden services in the suburbs close to us, from Table View and Sunningdale to Milnerton, Goodwood, Parow and Durbanville. We also have room for jobs in the city centre and Camps Bay, and take on big jobs in Constantia and Bishopscourt, but we don't go further out than that.
