Courtyard Trim and Tidy-Up in Cape Town
A small courtyard where Top Trimmers trimmed three shrubs into neat blocks and tidied a palm.

A small paved courtyard
This was a small courtyard garden: square paving slabs, gravel beds and stepping stones, a few big pots, a palm, and shrubs grown on single stems. Before we came, the shrubs had grown into big, bushy rounds, and the palm had dry, brown fronds hanging at the bottom.
The difference

↔BeforeAfter
↔BeforeAfterWhat we did
The shrubs were the big change. We trimmed the two bushy shrubs in the gravel bed into neat rectangular blocks on their single stems.
The third shrub, in a bed among the stepping stones beside the planters, was trimmed into a block the same way.
The palm was tidied up too. The dry fronds at the bottom are gone, and it stands neat and green behind its planters.
The paving, the gravel and the pots are the same as before: it's the plants that changed.
Trimming shrubs and small trees like this is part of our tree trimming and pruning work, and light pruning to keep them in shape can be part of a regular garden service.
